Nothing beats my Oma’s Oliebollen recipe - they are light, fluffy and perfectly crispy on the outside. They are a really special Dutch donut that we only make on New Year's Eve to celebrate the year ahead.

I'm going to try make these for Matariki, but going to try using beer instead of milk, as some members of my family are lactose intolerant. Wish me luck 🇳🇱🤞

Super easy and oh so delicious!!! The texture is something in between our Portuguese Christmas sweet “sonhos” and a doughnut. Love the flavour and extra texture coming from the apple. Will make this again for sure! 🙌🏻
